How does time work?

By default a day passes on the wall clock whether or not the game is open, and it catches up when you come back — capped at 45 days, because a month arriving in one lump is a report nobody reads.

Turn Live off in the header and the Advance-day button comes back, so you drive it yourself. The dropdown beside it sets how long a simulated day takes.
